If you have tried Los Santos' Latin-Mexican Street Food you have probably wondered what it is that makes their food taste so incredible, although the secret ingredient may not be what you guessed!
The heart and soul of this sensational enterprise is our awe-inspiring and beloved Ana. Born and raised in El Salvador, Central America, Ana’s heritage is a melting pot of remarkable cultural backgrounds. A descendant of the Indigenous Mayans, she has drawn inspiration from her Grandmother’s traditions which are the foundations for her menu; fresh and simple fare with seasonal ingredients. From farm to table Ana has cultivated the traditions of this universally adored cuisine and made it enjoyable for everyone by accommodating any food preference, allergy or intolerance. “We have people with all kinds of preferences; vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, allergies, whatever it is we customise the food to suit whatever they need.”

Ana’s passion for food developed through her education in health. Coming from a background in medicine, she is particularly interested in biofield therapy, which focuses on the circulation and patterns of energy that moves throughout the body. Studies have shown this can have a huge impact on the health of our bodies and minds. Ana applies this holistic approach to the preparation of the food, which she believes makes all the difference, “We infuse our food with positive vibration, channelling a positive frequency which I believe stabilises and enhances the nutrition”.

THE LOS SANTOS JOURNEY
Los Santos is one of the original markets we had here at the Marketta seven years ago. Since then, the team have dabbled in catering, kitchen takeovers as well as their restaurant collaboration in Currumbin, ‘Los Santos on the Deck’. They have been incredibly successful in all their ventures but Ana feels that the Miami Marketta is her home and appreciates the lifestyle of being able to operate here. “Everyone collaborates, the culture is amazing, and the customers are priceless. I love being able to have conversations with everyone, we have such a loyal following, we are very grateful.”

With all the traditional favourites you can expect from a Latin-Mexican street vendor including tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas the list goes on!
